Custom Error Pages in Hosting
You can set up custom error pages for each of your domains or subdomains. The feature is supported by all hosting plans that we offer, so when you log in to the Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Hosted Domains section, you may click on the Edit button for a domain/subdomain and in the pop-up that"ll show up, you can choose the sort of error page which should appear - a default one from our system, a typical Apache server page or a customized one. For the last mentioned option, you'll have to specify the URL to the page, so when you use custom made pages, you should upload the files in your website hosting account first. An alternative way is to use an .htaccess file positioned in the domain or subdomain folder with a line for each error type. The exact syntax can be located in our Knowledge Base, to help you use this feature even if you do not have any previous experience.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
Adding your pages for each of the 4 error types to any website hosted through a semi-dedicated server account with us will be really uncomplicated and won't take more than a few clicks. When you upload the files inside your account, you could go to the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia Control Panel and edit each of the domains and subdomains listed there via an intuitive interface with drop-down menus. You may choose what page should show up for each and every error type. Your options are a default Apache web server page or a page from our system, and personalized pages. If you select the aforementioned option, you will need to enter the link to each and every page inside your account, then save the change. The link or the type of page which appears when a user encounters an error can be changed whenever you want. In case you’re more experienced, you could use an .htaccess file in order to set in-house made error pages too, as an alternative to using our integrated generator software tool, and if you pick this option, the file should be located inside the root directory of a specific domain or subdomain.
